Founded and based in Bangalore, Girimaji Equipment has grown into a trusted name in industrial automation and quality testing. From our facility at Thimmaiah Industrial Estate, we design, develop, and deliver complete custom-engineered solutions for production automation, endurance testing, and quality control tailored to meet international standards across a wide range of industries. What sets us apart is our ability to understand each client's unique requirements and engineer a solution from the ground up — whether it's a high voltage testing rig, a solar panel production line, or a food processing automation system. FOUNDER & PROPRIETOR
A technocrat entrepreneur with vast experience across many domains of engineering, with the motto of contributing special purpose equipment not available in the open market to the industry. Starting in 1984 with the first few orders for the telephone industry, he steadily expanded his expertise and team, building strength in the design and integration of electrical systems — high voltage, control electronics, PLCs — mechanical systems, pneumatics, vacuum, and vibration engineering, providing the capability to build individual equipment as well as integrate multiple systems to deliver total solutions like plant-level automation, system integration, and endurance testing.
SECOND GENERATION
Mr. Abhay Girimaji has been an integral part of Girimaji Equipments over the past years, contributing significantly to the company's growth through innovation, engineering excellence, and customer-focused solutions. Building on the strong foundation established by the founder, Abhay Girimaji has played a key role in expanding the company's capabilities in industrial automation, special purpose machines, and endurance & quality test equipment — working closely with customers to transform ideas into reliable, high-performance equipment across solar energy, aerospace, electrical engineering, FMCG, food processing, and advanced manufacturing. With a passion for solving complex engineering challenges... His commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and technological innovation has helped Girimaji Equipments strengthen its reputation as a trusted partner across industries including solar energy, aerospace, electrical engineering, FMCG, food processing, and advanced manufacturing.
MILESTONE EVENTS
First few orders were dedicated to telephone industries to check the endurance of telephone instruments for various functions like dial, push buttons, coiled chord etc.
A write test machine was developed to check the endurance of writing instruments for writing, speed, pressure etc.
We developed a heart-lung machine which was tested and proved for improved functions over imported ones for safety.
We were involved in a prestigious project of DRDO, with the guidance of IISc, in setting up a Lightning test facility to subject aircraft and their components to the effects of lightning.
We developed a unique facility to simulate the conditions of an aircraft flying at 60,000ft and test components for Explosive Atmosphere Test.
We worked with Boeing in their development of a unique black box, which was tested at our works for explosive-proofness and product development.
For TÜV, a renowned certification laboratory in the world, we designed and developed test facilities to test Solar PV panels for mechanical load/strength and to test if they can withstand hail impact — simulating hail storms with ice balls of 25mm diameter shot against a solar panel at 23m/sec with high accuracy of measurement.
We developed endurance test equipment for TÜV to test Domestic Appliances.
Designed and supplied endurance test equipment to ETDC, ERTC, NISE and other esteemed government and private laboratories across India.
Supplied various quality and safety testing equipment to HI-Physix.
The second generation joined the company, bringing a renewed vision and expanding Girimaji Equipments' reach to different parts of the world.
Performed explosive atmosphere testing on various components developed by GTRE and HAL.
Expanded into aerospace component manufacturing equipment and process development for renowned aerospace companies.
